Just like Bloodborne, Demon’s Souls, Sekiro, and the Dark Souls series, Elden Ring was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. The caveat here is that the game was made in collaboration with the award-winning fantasy novelist and source material creator for the highly popular Game of Thrones television show, George R. R. Martin, who provided a lot of source material for the game’s setting.

Elden Ring was released for Microsoft Windows, Steam Deck, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25, 2022.

The Soulsborne games are known for their difficulty level and Elden Ring is no exception. One of the things that can ease the difficulty curve is knowing which weapons are the best for a player’s class. There are a variety of choices and this is a personalized tier list for all weapons.

Weapons

Weapons in Elden Ring are offensive equipment that is used by the player’s character to inflict damage against Enemies and Bosses. Elden Ring features new categories of Weapons, as well as some returning from previous Souls games.

Weapons can be divided into several categories:

  • Axes
  • Ballistas
  • Bows
  • Claws
  • Colossal Swords
  • Colossal Weapons
  • Crossbows
  • Curved Greatswords
  • Curved Swords
  • Daggers
  • Fists
  • Flails
  • Glintstone Staves
  • Greataxes
  • Greatbows
  • Great Spears
  • Greatswords
  • Halberds
  • Hammers
  • Heavy Thrusting Swords
  • Katanas
  • Light Bows
  • Reapers
  • Sacred Seals
  • Spears
  • Straight Swords
  • Thrusting Swords
  • Torches
  • Twinblades
  • Warhammers
  • Whips

As players can see, weapons are the lifeblood of any Soulsborne game, even more so in Elden Ring, because the variety of weapons and weapon types make it so that any and every playstyle is encouraged by the game.

Feel like attacking really fast? Daggers are perfect. Want to bonk an enemy really hard on the head? Why not try Hammers or Greataxes? Want to do big damage in large arcs? Greatswords are the best bet. Just want to sit back and hit targets from afar? Definitely a Bow user. Hell, if blasting hapless creatures with magic is the need of the hour, any sort of Staff will do the trick.

As with any game, however, there are weapons that are great at what they do and some that do not do those same things quite as well. So which one is which? To answer that question, a tier list is required, one that will detail which weapons to look out for and which weapons to just flat out avoid for the sake of efficiency.

Listed below is the tier list of weapons.

Tier List

To make it easier, we will be dividing the weapons into tiers ranging from S, A, B, C, D, E and F, with S-tier being the best and F-tier being the worst.

S-Tier List

The best weapons in the game. No other weapons in their class beat these choices:

  • Beast-Repellent Torch
  • Black Knife
  • Cranial Vessel Candlestand
  • Crystal Knife
  • Death Ritual Spear
  • Eclipse Shotel
  • Erdsteel Dagger
  • Falingstar Beast Jaw
  • Gargoyle’s Black Halberd
  • Gargoyle’s Blackblade
  • Giant’s Red Braid
  • Golden Halberd
  • Grafted Dragon
  • Inquisitor’s Girandole
  • Jar Cannon
  • Magma Whip Candlestick
  • Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword
  • Onyx Lord’s Greatsword
  • Rivers of Blood
  • Rosus’ Axe
  • Scepter of the All-Knowing
  • Starscourge Greatsword
  • Steel-Wire Torch
  • Sword of Night and Flame
  • Winged Scythe

A-Tier List

Almost the best weapons in the game, only falling short to S-tier. Use any of these if there is no access to an S-tier weapon:

  • Academy Glindstone Staff
  • Astrologer’s Staff
  • Bastard’s Stars
  • Carian Glinstine Staff
  • Carian Knight’s Sword
  • Crystal Sword
  • Devourer’s Scepter
  • Dragon Greatclaw
  • Finger Seal
  • Glinstone Staff
  • Greataxe
  • Ivory Sickle
  • Rusted Anchor
  • Torch
  • Troll’s Hammer
  • Veteran’s Prosthesis
  • Wing of Astel

B-Tier List

Good weapons that can hold their own. They can be at least A-tier if used with the right builds:

  • Axe of Godrick
  • Bloody Helice
  • Digger’s Staff

C-Tier List

Your average weapon pick. Not great, but not bad either. Use when nothing better is available:

  • Axe of Godfrey
  • Carian Regal Scepter
  • Estoc
  • Grossmesser
  • Hoslow’s Petal Whip
  • Pulley Crossbow

D-Tier List

Below average weapons. Anything below C-tier is not worth keeping unless nothing better is acquired:

  • Azur’s Glinstone Staff
  • Bloodhound’s Fang
  • Butchering Knife
  • Chainlink Flail
  • Falchion
  • Flail
  • Ghiza’s Wheel
  • Golem’s Halberd
  • Grafted Blade Greatsword
  • Greatbow
  • Great Club
  • Great Epee
  • Hammer
  • Mantis Blade
  • Misericorde
  • Monk’s Flamemace
  • Nightrider Flail
  • Noble’s Estoc
  • Omen Cleaver
  • Partisan
  • Pike
  • Prelate’s Inferno Crozier
  • Scavenger’s Curved Sword
  • Scimitar
  • Sword of St Trina
  • Whip

E-Tier List

Basic weapons. Best to not hold on to them for too long:

  • Battle Hammer
  • Broadsword
  • Composite Bow
  • Dismounter
  • Hookclaws
  • Light Crossbow
  • Lion Greatbow
  • Mace
  • Morning Star
  • Red Branch Shortbow
  • Reduvia
  • Scorpion’s Stinger
  • Scythe
  • Serpentbone Blade
  • Short Bow
  • Short Spear
  • Shotel
  • Stormhawk Axe
  • Uchigatana
  • Winged Greathorn
  • Zweilhander

F-Tier List

Worst possible choices. Avoid under any circumstances unless the player is doing some sort of challenge run:

  • Antspur Rapier
  • Banished Knight’s Halberd
  • Battle Axe
  • Cane Sword
  • Clawmark Seal
  • Club
  • Dagger
  • Demi-Human Queen’s Staff
  • Dragon Halberd
  • Dragonscale Blade
  • Forked Hatchet
  • Frozen Needle
  • Gargoyle’s Twinblade
  • Godskin Peeler
  • Godslayer’s Seal
  • Golden Order Seal
  • Great Knife
  • Guardian’s Swordspear
  • Halberd
  • Hand Axe
  • Hand Ballista
  • Highland Axe
  • Iron Cleaver
  • Katar
  • Longsword
  • Lordsworm’s Straight Sword
  • Maliketh’s Black Blade
  • Meteorite Staff
  • Morgott’s Cursed Sword
  • Nightrider Glaive
  • Ornamental Straight Sword
  • Parrying Dagger
  • Pest’s Glaive
  • Rapier
  • Short Sword
  • Spiked Caestus
  • Spiked Club
  • Twinblade
  • Twinned Knight Swords
  • Warped Axe
  • Warpick
  • Winged Spear
  • Zamor Curved Sword

One final tip is that no weapon is inherently bad in any Soulsborne games, as players have managed to find success with just about anything. Choose the weapon that is ideal for the player’s playstyle and their level of endurance when it comes to the challenging aspects of the game with a weaker weapon.

If all else fails, fall back on the infamous, and slightly annoying, Dark Souls proverb, “Git gud.”

How to Breed Ghazt in My Singing Monsters: Tips and Cheats https://www.touchtapplay.com/how-to-breed-ghazt-in-my-singing-monsters-tips-and-cheats/ https://www.touchtapplay.com/how-to-breed-ghazt-in-my-singing-monsters-tips-and-cheats/#respond Tue, 17 Jan 2023 16:18:54 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=113946 My Singing Monsters is the original game in the My Singing Monsters franchise and also the sequel to My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire. The game, developed by Big Blue Bubble Inc., is a combination of a world builder and a simulation game and was released on most handheld as well as desktop platforms.

The game is a combination of biomes, in the form of islands, and monsters of varying rarities. The monsters need to be bred and fed, and they will sing for the player! The game offers a lot of unique gameplay with several monsters. In this guide we are going to show you how to breed Ghazt!

Ghazt

Ghazt is an Ethereal monster that resembles a ghostly purple feline creature. The five floating orbs above it are what make its musical notes each time Ghazt touches them, though, typical of an Ethereal Monster, they might light up and play on their own occasionally.

Ethereal Monsters, unlike Natural Monsters, are very difficult to breed. They also have their own island where they can produce shards, which are valuable like coins, but are a different currency type.

Ghazt also has Rare and Epic Monster variations, but its normal version is useful in its own right! Acquiring Ghazt requires one of a few specific breeding compositions, the best of which will be described below.

Related: How to breed Epic Shellbeat in My Singing Monsters

How to breed Ghazt

As mentioned earlier, Ghazt requires some specific breeding combinations to acquire. Ideally, using a combination of an Entbrat along with another monster should produce Ghazt. The best combinations would be:

  • Entbrat and Bowgart
  • Entbrat and Clamble
  • Entbrat and Pummel
  • Entbrat and T-Rox

Upon choosing one of these combinations, Ghazt takes about 1 day and 12 hours (if Plant) or 10 hours (if Ethereal) to hatch. We recommend the combination of Entbrat and T-Rox for best results, because Ghazt, being Ethereal, is generally harder to breed.

But with our recommended combination, the stats make it so that every 70 attempts, there would be a minimum 50% chance of hatching a Ghazt! Thank you for reading and happy breeding!

Best Ants and Special Ants in The Ants Underground Kingdom https://www.touchtapplay.com/best-ants-and-special-ants-in-the-ants-underground-kingdom/ https://www.touchtapplay.com/best-ants-and-special-ants-in-the-ants-underground-kingdom/#respond Fri, 30 Dec 2022 22:17:38 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=128030 In The Ants: Underground Kingdom, players play as the ultimate Ant Ruler to lead their Queen and build their Anthill.

To survive and reproduce, wars between animals take place frequently in nature. In The Ants: Underground Kingdom, players take charge of their own Anthill, lead the Queen, grow the colony, and defend against enemies. For the glory and prosperity of the ant empire, players must display their own strategies and resourcefulness.

In The Ants, there are multiple types of ants that players can hatch and raise in their colony. There are some ants that are of a higher tier than the rest and we will be listing them today. In this guid ewe will show the best ants to get.

Best Ants

There are a lot of different types of ants in the game and not all of them are as good as the others. Listed below are all of the best ants as well as special ants that we feel are good, in a tier-list format.

S-Tier

The most overpowered ants in the game:

  • Banshee Velvet
  • Brown Rogue
  • Golden Venom
  • Jack Jumper
  • Reap Master
  • Shikeree Master

A-Tier

Stronger than the rest, but not exactly overpowered:

  • Acid General
  • Banshee Panda
  • Dark Giant
  • Driver Ant
  • Enigmatic Taylor
  • Giant Tooth
  • Gold Armor

B-Tier

The pretty well-rounded, balanced ants of the game:

  • Golden Sugar
  • New World General
  • Slim Arched

C-Tier

The underpowered ant, but not the worst:

  • Bullet Ant

D-Tier

The worst ants, avoid if possible:

  • Golden Spiny
  • White Velvet

Of these ants, we recommend sticking to the S-tier always if possible. But if not, the A-tier ants are a close second. Anything below that tier underperforms, especially in PvP, so players might consider an upgrade if they can and want to be competitive.

List of Dueling Spell Icons in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery https://www.touchtapplay.com/list-of-dueling-spell-icons-in-harry-potter-hogwarts-mystery/ https://www.touchtapplay.com/list-of-dueling-spell-icons-in-harry-potter-hogwarts-mystery/#respond Tue, 20 Dec 2022 19:33:56 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=124518 Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a role-playing video game developed and published by Jam City under license from Portkey Games. The game is set in the Wizarding World and is based on the Harry Potter novels written by J.K. Rowling. Who doesn’t like Harry Potter?

The game was released for Android and iOS on April 25, 2018. Players praised its free-roam settings throughout Hogwarts with an underlying original plot looming in the background. There are a lot of entertaining features added in between the main story to make the game more engaging for players.

One of the fun activities in the game that was introduced was that of Dueling. Wizard Duels have been a part of the Harry Potter universe since the beginning of the books and movies. It was introduced as part of the Hogwarts Mystery game in 2019.

Dueling

Dueling in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery works in a very simple way. Attacks are turn-based and follow a Rock-Paper-Scissors formula.

Attacks are divided into three types:

  • Defensive
  • Offensive
  • Sneaky

The Rock-Paper-Scissors formula works in this mode of battling using each of the three types to the advantage of the other. It works like this:

  • Defensive attacks beat Offensive attacks
  • Offensive attacks beat Sneaky attacks
  • Sneaky attacks beat Defensive attacks

If an attack-type has an advantage over the other, the advantageous attack type would be the only one that gets a chance to hit. The player with a disadvantageous attack type does not get to use their attack during that one turn.

If both players use the same attack type, a draw happens and the turn is skipped. This keeps going back and forth until one player is finally defeated and their HP runs out. This is a list of all of the known spells in the game and their attack type during duels.

List of all Spells and Types

Each spell has its own use in battle. The defensive spells are used to stun, stall, and heal. The offensive spells are primarily used to deal damage, either burst damage or damage-over-time. The sneaky spells focus more on damage-over-time and disables.

Pokemon Masters EX Tier List & Best Pairs https://www.touchtapplay.com/pokemon-masters-ex-sync-pairs-tier-list/ https://www.touchtapplay.com/pokemon-masters-ex-sync-pairs-tier-list/#respond Wed, 01 Jun 2022 07:06:59 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=127719 Pokémon Masters is a mobile game running on Android and iOS. Unlike other Pokémon games in the franchise, Pokémon Masters plays very differently.

The gameplay revolves around 3v3 battles unlike Pokémon’s default format of 1v1 turn-based switch battling. Due to this, players have to pick 3 Pokémon that have the best synergy with each other for the best results. Stats generally mean a lot more than normal Pokémon games and variety is definitely an important key to victory!

The game entirely revolves around Pokémon and their trainers coming together as Sync Pairs. As such, we will be listing the best Sync Pairs in the game.

Sync Pair Tiers

In our opinion, these are the best sync pairs ranging from S-rank to D-rank.

S Tier Pairs

The best Sync Pairs in the game, bar none:

  • Cynthia and Mega Garchomp
  • Gloria and Zacian
  • Hilbert and Mightyena
  • May and Swampert
  • N and Zekrom
  • Steven and Mega Metagross

A Tier Pairs

The best Sync Pairs in the game, barring the S-Rank Pairs:

  • Blue and Mega Pidgeot
  • Hala and Crabominable
  • Iris and Haxorus
  • Maxie and Groudon
  • May and Mega Lopunny
  • Olivia and Lycanroc (Midnight Form)
  • Selene and Decidueye
  • Steven and Alolan Sandslash
  • Sygna Suit Grimsley and Mega Sharpedo

B Tier Pairs

Better than most Sync Pairs and still acceptable:

  • Bea and Sirfetch’d
  • Elesa and Zebstrike
  • Guzma and Golisopod
  • Hilda and Emboar
  • Korrina and Mega Lucario
  • Lyra and Jigglypuff
  • Nate and Braviary

C Tier Pairs

Below average Sync Pairs but still not the worst:

  • Kris and Feraligatr
  • Marshal and Conkeldurr
  • Molayne and Dugtrio
  • Morty and Drifblim
  • Noland and Mega Pinsir
  • Roxie and Scolipede

D Tier Pairs

Avoidable Sync Pairs, any of the Pairs above work better than:

  • Hapu and Mudsdale
  • Kahili and Toucannon
  • Norman and Slaking
  • Roark and Rampardos
  • Sygna Suit Brock and Tyranitar
  • Tate and Solrock
  • Wulfric and Avalugg

Everything we Know About Apex Legend’s Newcastle https://www.touchtapplay.com/everything-we-know-about-apex-legends-newcastle/ https://www.touchtapplay.com/everything-we-know-about-apex-legends-newcastle/#respond Mon, 25 Apr 2022 19:18:11 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=138129 Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale-hero shooter game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It was initially released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in February 2019 and then for Nintendo Switch in March 2021, and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in March 2022.

A mobile version of the game specially designed for touchscreens, titled Apex Legends Mobile, has also been announced and is scheduled to be fully released by 2022 on Android and iOS. The game also supports cross-platform play.

The game has introduced a lot of new characters from its initial release. Today, we will be talking about the newest release, Newcastle, and everything we know about him.

Newcastle

Newcastle is Bangalore’s supposed long-lost dead brother, Jackson. His reason for joining the Apex Games has not been made clear yet, but he was initially supposed to replace Bangalore, who was leaving to return to the rest of her family. We also know a lot about him thanks to the Gridiron Story from the Outlands that arrived in January.

An upcoming story from the Outlands is said to have confirmation about why Jackson, aka Newcastle, is joining up with his sister in the games.

From what we know so far, these are Jackson’s abilities:

  • Passive: Retrieve The Wounded – Drags downed allies as he revives and protects them with his Revive Shield.
  • Tactical: Mobile Shield – Throws a controllable drone that creates a moving energy shield.
  • Ultimate: Castle Wall – Leaps and slams to a target ally or area and creates a fortified stronghold.

This trailer portrays Newcastle extremely well, along with the new update coming out soon.

Newcastle will be added to Apex Legends on May 10, 2022, which also happens to be the release date of Season 13.

As it exists in the magical world, Potions have been an important tool for witches and wizards since ancient times when magic was first introduced to the wizarding world. Due to this, Hogwarts Mystery has released events regarding different types of Potions. Today we will be talking about one such recurring event: The Puzzling Potions.

Puzzling Potions Event

The Puzzling Potions event in Hogwarts Mystery lets players acquire potion bottles as additional rewards for completing club actions and classes. The more bottles players acquire, the more potions players can complete during the event. Depending on the number of potions completed by the end of the event, players can acquire a variety of rewards.

RELATED: How to brew Wideye Potion in Hogwarts Mystery

Here are some simple things to remember:

  • Players earn potion bottles by completing club actions in classes, story projects, and assignments. Quizzes do not count.
  • One potion bottle is earned per club action regardless of how many taps it requires to fill the action bubble. Players can use lower energy club actions for best results.
  • Green Potions are from Hippogriff XP, Pink Potions are from Sphinx XP, and Yellow Potions are from Dragon XP.
  • The potion bottles are used to remove tiles gems and reveal the ingredients needed to brew the said potion. Not all of these ingredients are essential.
  • The number of ingredients needed for each potion and how many gem tiles the ingredient outline is under can be seen on the chalkboard to the left of the gem board. They can be oriented in various ways: flipped, mirrored, tilted, or reversed.
  • The ingredient is added to the potion once all of the gems surrounding it are removed from the board.
  • Some gems have multiple layers and are identified by squiggly lines. Depending on the number of squiggles on a layer, more potions will be needed to unlock it.
  • Coins can also be used to remove layers, with 100 coins per layer removed, up to a max of 300 coins each.
  • Upon finding all the required ingredients, players complete that potion and acquire a reward.
  • There are a total of 4 potions of varying difficulty and better rewards the higher it goes.
  • The grand prize can only be acquired after finishing all of the potions.

Originally subtitled Heroes of Warcraft, Hearthstone builds upon the existing lore of the Warcraft series by using the same elements, characters, and relics.

It was first released for Microsoft Windows and macOS in March 2014, with ports for iOS and Android released later that year. The game features cross-platform play, allowing players on any supported device to compete with one another, restricted only by geographical region account limits.

The game consists of decks made up of many heroes from the multitude of Blizzard Entertainment games. Today we will be talking about one of those decks, the Switcheroo Priest deck.

Switcheroo Priest Deck

Switcheroo Priest is an all-in deck that aims to utilize a Switcheroo in a deck that only contains one cheap minion and one minion with high stats.

The aim of Switcheroo Priest is consistent in every game, and that is to play Switcheroo as soon as possible in order to draw, and swap the stats of, Twin-fin Fin Twin and Deathwing the Destroyer. The deck is able to achieve fast wins due to the speed in which a powerful minion can be rushed out, but sacrifices its ability to win games that go beyond the first few turns as a result.

As is with every Pokémon game, players are tasked with searching for Pokémon to capture and collect, using them to battle other Pokémon, be it against the AI or against other players. The difference with Pokémon GO is that it utilizes the player’s phone GPS to find and capture Pokémon!

The game has been expanding its roster since its humble release with the original 151 Pokémon all the way to modern times. Pokémon got so popular that the original roster kept expanding till we got to eight whole generations of Pokémon!

Today we will be talking about one of the newest releases, Oranguru, and how to acquire it in Pokémon GO!

Oranguru

Oranguru is a Normal/Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in the original Gen-7 games of Pokémon Sun and Moon. It is one of the few one-stage non-legendary Pokemon in the game as it does not evolve from anything or into anything.

Best Games to Play on 4/20 https://www.touchtapplay.com/best-games-to-play-on-4-20/ https://www.touchtapplay.com/best-games-to-play-on-4-20/#respond Wed, 20 Apr 2022 19:20:40 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=137271 It’s 4/20 day, yet again! In commemoration of 4/20 day this year, we’re looking back at the month of April and listing some of the best games to play today!

Without further ado, here’s number 5:

5. Guns Up! Mobile

Bringing up the rear is Guns Up! Mobile. This game is a mobile version of the original Guns Up! game that was an action-strategy title originally made for PlayStation and PC. But as of March 2022, Guns Up! Mobile was finally released on Android and iOS devices, bringing the fun to your fingertips…for free!

The game features explosive gameplay, good-looking visuals, and a bunch of different PvP and PvE game modes as well.

4. Metroland

Coming up at number 4 on the list is Metroland. If any of you have played the classic Subway Surfer, you should be familiar with Metroland. This game is a new endless runner from Kiloo, the developer studio behind Subway Surfers, one of the most popular mobile games ever created.

This game takes the endless runner theme from Subway Surfer and revamps it a step further by making it look much more futuristic. Metroland also adds a story and many other elements to make it a “new take on endless runners,” as per their statement. The developers have planned to let this game span many regions, with Tokyo being the first location released so far.

3. T3 Arena

At number 3, we have T3 Arena. For players familiar with Blizzard’s Overwatch, T3 Arena should be very familiar to them. This game is a pretty cool 3v3 shooter game with casual elements to it as well, none of which make the gameplay any less challenging, however.

With vibrant graphics and a plethora of heroes with unique weapons and special powers, the combination of gameplay elements in T3 Arena is endless. However, the one downside to this game that prevents it from being any higher on the list is the fact that it is still in early access. Despite that, it is completely free to play.

Currently, the game is only available on TapTap, purely for Android devices. However, there are definitely plans for a future iOS release for which pre-ordering has begun!

2. Hitman Sniper: The Shadows

The penultimate game on this list, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows is the ambitious sequel to Square Enix‘s popular title, Hitman Sniper. The initial offering was limited to certain regions, but as of March 2022, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows is available globally.

Most of the gameplay elements from the previous Hitman Sniper game have been retained while adding some new features. One of the big ones is the addition of a multiplayer component, allowing players to compete with other aspiring Hitman players. In addition to that, the developers have also added more maps, newer challenges, and a bunch of fun stuff that players are free to check out…for free!

1. Rovio Classics: Angry Birds

Our number one pick on this list, making its triumphant return to the scene, is the classic Angry Birds game from 2012 that kicked off the whole franchise, launching it into legendary status!

The classic version of the game comes with 400+ levels, all of the nostalgic birds from the first game, along with a Might Eagle thrown in for good measure, all for a one-time payment of $0.99! If you’ve ever enjoyed the old Angry Birds and grew up with it, now’s your chance to get all of the memories back! And if you’re a new player, why not see what started it all? We guarantee fun times to be had for everyone!
